LOCATION
Vancouver Island - British Columbia

SEASON
Mid March – Late November

CAPACITY
Maximum of 18 fishing guests at a time

SPECIES
Steelhead, salmon, cutthroat trout, and dolly varden

GENERAL INFORMATION
Built directly on the banks of the Gold River, the Lodge offers guided fishing on one of British Columbia’s finest wild steelhead rivers. Because the Lodge utilizes a combination of boats, helicopters, and floatplanes,, they can also offer access to other watersheds accessible only by air. This can make for a truly remote angling experience unlike anything found in North America.

LENGTH OF STAY
Trips typically consist of either a 5 Day/4 Night or 4 Day/3 Night packages, although custom trips can be accommodated. Arrival days on four-day trips are Sundays and Thursdays. Arrival days on five-day trips are Sundays and Wednesdays.

THE FISHING
Being located at almost sea level and having year-round runs of salmon and steelhead, the Lodge can accommodate anglers 12 months out of the year. In addition to fall and summer runs, some of the best steelhead fishing can be found during the winter months, a great time to have the rivers and accommodations all to your self! With a maximum of 18 guests, the staff excels at customer service and an attention to detail that is second to none. In the summer and early fall, enjoy excellent ocean Salmon fishing in the protected calm waters of Nootka Sound. A morning can be spent on inviting waters that are filled with "Tyee" Salmon. Helicopter for lunch on a secluded West Coast Beach or an 8,000-foot high mountain glacier. Complete your day with a round of golf before watching the sunset with a glass of wine on the Gold.

BOATS AND EQUIPMENT OFFERED
Utilizing helicopters and floatplanes, the Lodge at Gold River can fly you to lakes and rivers accessible only by air. For saltwater fishing they use cruiser boats equipped with state of the art gear and technology.

THE LODGING
Nestled on 1,000 feet of riverfront, the Lodge at Gold River easily speaks to those who appreciate the meaning of “roughing it in luxury.” The main lodge, a new 3,000-square foot log structure, offers guests two huge fireplaces, a beautiful anglers bar, a game room, a spacious dining room, and a comfortable great room – perfect for relaxing or hosting an "out of office” business meeting. Each of the Lodge’s “cabins” boast three, 540-square foot bedrooms, all with wood burning fireplaces, comfortable sitting areas, and granite appointed bathroom suites. When it comes to luxury accommodations in the wilds of North America, there is no place that comes close the Lodge at Gold River!
